War! huh-yeah! What is it good for?
I…..am at WAR!!!
With whom.. you might be wondering?
Easy…with the “bumping uglies Ma & Pa Kettle” that live above me.
Yesterday - Sunday - it was the vacuum cleaner going on at 8:00am. For the love of Pete!! It’s Sunday! There is a firm rule of thumb that no loud noises should be going on before at least 10:00am on a Sunday, people!
And of course the escalating noises that are emanating from their apartment. I’ve had company over and even THEY have commented on how freaking loud these people are. I mean really….it’s not that hard to *NOT* stomp around like a herd of freakin’ elephants!!
This morning…. 6:00 freakin’ A.M. and they were tromping, stomping, crashing and bashing their way around the apartment. Ok - granted I *was* awake already but that doesn’t mean it’s okay for them to be making that kind of noise. And it certainly doesn’t mean I wanted to listen to them tromping, stomping, crashing and bashing their way through my morning rituals of getting ready for work.
So….I started waging war.
Yep, I fired a warning shot off the port bow!
With this:

And of course, if you know Bose, you know that the sound quality is EXCELLENT!!
And since I had done some recent video shopping on iTunes this weekend, I started my morning off with a real upbeat tune at a REALLY loud decibel level:
Followed up with a healthy does of:
Linkin Park - What I’ve Done
Fergie - Big Girls Don’t Cry
Kelly Clarkson - Never Again
Kelly Clarkson - Since You’ve Been Gone
My Chemical Romance -Teenagers
What a GREAT way to start my morning, don’t you think? I know I was pretty pumped up by it all.
Suddenly, the noise above me didn’t seem to matter nearly as much.
Now - whether that’s due to them stopping or me just drowing the out.. who knows?
We’ll see how it goes tomorrow morning.
Oh…and I just HOPE they try and complain to the leasing office…. please..oh please…let them try that.. I’m *SO* ready for THAT to happen. heh..heh..heh….

I reccommend downloading Carmina Burana as well - “O fortuna”, with the bass turned up, worked well on my obnoxious college neighbors with the really squeaky bedsprings. . .
Corvus Corax, one of my very fav bands - Medieval Goth, will also stand you in good stead. I can burn you a copy of some Corvus Corax if necessary. . .
***Oh shoot.. I think I left my copy of Carmina Burana in the divorce. Ahh..no worries, that’s what iTunes is for. Thanks for the offer, I’ll see how My Chemical Romance fares tomorrow morning (if necessary) and then I’ll spin up some Linkin Park, followed by Queen of the Damned Soundtrack if necessary… this is WAR!!!
give’em hell girly.
***I’m working on it!
Ooooh, fun. I had some French neighbors upstairs (up until about 2 months ago when they moved out - THANK GOD!), who used to enjoy running up and down the stairs like madmen (which happened to be right above my bed) at 3 AM…. used to love throwing parties on a TUESDAY night… used to love listening to music so loud that my walls thrummed… yeah. LOVELY neighbors. I hated them with a passion. And since my awful landlord never bothered getting back in touch with my frantic calls and emails, I had to endure nearly 7 months of that crap. Now they’re gone, and I cherish every Britney-Spears-Toxic-less moment.
***Yeah.. I think your landlord moved down here and runs my complex now.
That’s why I hope they complain, because *I’ve* already done that on them multiple times and it did absolutely nothing!!
