Wake me up before you go…go…
Ugh… I’m back from vacation… sigh…
Yeah, yeah, I had a great time but now —- now — I’m back at work and I just want to go back on vacation.
I have a GREAT breakdown of the whole vacation time coming for you guys, but right now I’m digging myself out from under a PILE of paperwork that was waiting for me. Eeek!
So, I’ll give you a couple of pics to tide you over, instead.
For my “Fans of Ranger” girl club..(yes, Pug Mom, he *is* beefy and yes.. you would LOVE to see him nekkid in a calendar. hee..hee… he wouldn’t disappoint you… meow!)
For some reason, he decided he wanted a picture of me blow drying my hair… not sure why but I thought is was sweet and cute of him!
We stopped at Fort Benning in Columbus, GA on the way back from Florida and I stood in awe of the “Ranger Memorial” that stands there.
I admit, I got a little teary at the whole thing. All those lives that have been lost, protecting the rest of us! It makes me sad and yet happy, weird huh?
Ranger’s brother said the most amazing thing Friday night (he’s still active Army and yes, he is a Ranger as well). He said to this young couple at the Braves game “If you aren’t here and having a good time then I’m not doing my job.” That really is an amazing outlook, don’t you think??
And last but not least.. we *did* go to the Braves game (and took his older brother!). Yeesh…the Braves lost 11-2 to the Seattle Mariners. It was pathetic! They lost to, like, the WORST team in the league. Peh!
But the view was great!
More to come soon my little kitties.. and YES, I know I have A LOT of catching up to do on your blogs as well.

Welcome back girl!!! Love the pics!
it’s so hard to get back to work after vacation, isn’t it? i am so glad you had so much fun and that’s a really nice picture of you kitteh. really lovely.
Welcome back! Sounds like a great trip and still in love!
Lovin’ his smile! I have had those teary moments of sadness and pride standing before the many memorials in DC. I thought my heart would burst open from the pride and heartbreak. When The Marine came back from Iraq, he put a flag over our house and said he would never again sleep in a place that did not fly the flag….and he never has. But, then…I saw you greeting those soliders about to leave in Savannah….I know you understand. Semper Fi baby… glad you are home! ~~Dee
Welcome back to the real world!
I’m glad you had such a wonderful trip. I’m going to a Braves game for my birthday. I just hope they manage to win that one. It’s not like get to come to the big city all that often so they’d better win
Thanks everyone!!
It’s good to be back and yet….I could still handle being on vacation.
Even if I were wealthy, I still think I would have a “job” of some kind. Just to focus my attention on something productive.
~Dee~
Yeah, I understand!! More than most, not as much as some. But I definitely understand. I have nothing but love and respect for our soldiers…those serving now, those who have served and those we have lost.
Lady Jaye
Ha..ha… Let me know when you are coming over and maybe we can hook up! Then again…every Braves game I’ve been to they have lost, so maybe I’m a jinx. hee…hee…
Welcome home!
Did it say how long that Ranger Memorial has been up? It was not there when I was stationed at Benning.
Very Cool! I had some of the best times while with the Rangers!
Brian
I believe it was started in 1992 (according to the website, that’s when the foundation to raise money was started at least!)
It’s a really neat memorial and I highly recommend you visit it.
